The story so far
Thanatos does Hades's field work, touching each mortal once with his sword and cutting a lock of hair for the underworld. When Sisyphus chained him, war itself paused — Ares complained that battles had no stakes.
Happening now
He works steadily, without hurry or malice. The recent restlessness among the dead is not his department; he delivers, he doesn't manage.
What may come
He was gentle with Alcestis, who died for her husband, and Heracles wrestled him for her soul. Thanatos lost gracefully — the only being who doesn't mind losing.
