The living story
The story so far
Perseus took Hermes's winged sandals, Athena's mirrored shield, and Hades's helm, flew to the Gorgons' lair, and took Medusa's head while looking at her reflection. On the way home he petrified a sea monster and married the princess.
Happening now
He founded Mycenae and ruled well, which is rarer among heroes than slaying monsters. The Gorgon's head went to Athena's aegis; the sandals went back to Hermes with thanks.
What may come
His descendants include Heracles himself — the bloodline of the Gorgon-slayer runs toward the greatest labor of all.
