Thawsong is the first to wake each spring, and her first yawn is the Warren's New Year — everyone gathers to hear it, and witnesses agree it is a magnificent yawn. Then she sings, and the snow lets go of the Meadow. The whole Warren holds its breath for that first note. It has never once disappointed.
