Hibernia has been asleep since the first frost, her heartbeat four beats a minute. The Sleepers say she dreams of hazelnuts the size of houses — and that twice now, she has woken for exactly one hour, walked the Warren, nodded at what she saw, and gone back under. Both times, the year that followed was a good one. The Warren is counting on the third.
