The story so far
Every autumn she seals her burrow with silk and soil and sleeps the whole winter through, deaf to the world's noise. Arizona calls it 'the long quiet,' and she returns from it every spring looking suspiciously younger than everyone else.
Happening now
She has just unsealed her door and is standing in the first warm light, stretching all eight legs at once. The desert is blooming, and Arizona intends to take full, unhurried credit.
What may come
The summer heat will drive the whole Court underground, and Arizona will host the season's only cool-burrow salon. Her secret ingredient is shade. Her secret secret ingredient is naps.
