The story so far
Bold is not a nickname — it is the family business. Audax was raised on a sunflower stalk where her mother taught her three rules: look directly at everything, flinch at nothing, and always land the jump.
Happening now
She currently lives on a porch railing and has turned to face every single person who has walked past it this week. Her record: forty-three humans, zero flinches, one startled pigeon.
What may come
When the cold comes she will lay her eggs in a rolled leaf and guard them like a dragon with a treasure. Some of her babies will inherit the stare. The porch will never be unobserved again.
