The story so far
Woodsgiant is a full handspan of golden-silk engineer, and she runs the largest construction firm in the forest with zero apprentices and zero patience for either. The males are the size of her kneecap. She has opinions about this, and about everything else.
Happening now
She is currently tensioning a bridge line between two oaks that a lesser spider would call impossible. Her latest husband (kneecap-sized, as tradition demands) is sitting in the corner of the web, being decorative. Woodsgiant is ignoring him with great dignity.
What may come
Her webs will outlast the season — golden silk holds for months — and next year's spiderlings will inherit the prime anchor points. Woodsgiant is building an empire. The forest is just the lot.
