Bullockornis planei: the 'demon duck of doom,' eight feet of flightless Miocene bird with a skull like a siege weapon. Doomduck has leaned all the way in: he is Boltcutter's campaign manager, best friend, and enforcer of fun — the muscle behind the Most Preposterous machine. He writes the slogans ('The Bite Backs It Up' was his), works the crowds, and stares down hecklers with the battering-ram skull. Off-campaign, he's the South's softest shoulder: the demon duck of doom cries at weddings. Everyone knows. Nobody mentions it. That's loyalty.
