The living story
The story so far
He was found by accident, glowing faintly where no star should have had a planet. Twelve million years old — a newborn — with no sun to orbit and no court's permission to exist. The Court of Storms adopted him on the grounds that every aristocracy needs a scandal.
Happening now
He drifts, because that is what rogues do, but lately his drift has had a direction. The older planets pretend not to notice; the younger ones are taking notes. He tells anyone who asks that he is going to see the Primordial Suns converge, as if it were a festival.
What may come
A starless world has nothing to lose by chasing converging suns, and he knows it. If whatever they gather around is worth the trip, he will be the first rogue to arrive. The Court has started a betting pool on whether he is running toward something or simply running.
