The story so far
She is glossy, stocky, and regularly mistaken for a mouse — and she has never once corrected anyone. Mousespider discovered early that being misidentified is a superpower, and she wears the confusion like a tailored coat.
Happening now
She just scuttled across a garden path and a human jumped, which was the highlight of her week. She is currently sitting in the petunias, enjoying the aftershock and planning an encore.
What may come
She will dig a deep burrow and raise a brood of glossy little mysteries. Her daughters will be mistaken for mice too, and they will learn, as she did, that the best trick is letting people believe whatever they want.
