The living story

The story so far

He has held the throne since before the other giants were named, and his Storm has outlived every challenger. Court politics run on bluster, and he invented bluster. Beneath it all, he listens to the wind from beyond the Court and keeps what he hears to himself.

Happening now

His Storm is shrinking — slowly, measurably, undeniably — and for the first time in centuries the king is quiet about it. Saturn has begun hosting salons he is pointedly not invited to. He pretends the shrinking is beneath his notice, which fools no one.

What may come

Whispers say the Primordial Suns are converging on something, and the king's weather-watchers have been told to look outward, not inward. If his Storm keeps shrinking, the Court will need a new measure of greatness. Jupiter intends to decide what that measure is before anyone else does.
