The story so far
He flew too close and the Court watched it happen in real time — the first devouring anyone had ever witnessed so clearly. Ten million years sounds like forever until you do the division. He decided to spend every one of them being magnificent.

The egg-shape grows more pronounced each century, and his atmosphere streams toward his star like a scarf in the wind. He throws the Court's loudest parties now, as if volume could drown out the countdown. The younger planets find him thrilling; the older ones find him exhausting; he finds them all delicious.
