The static Spark

A sleek shadow-dweller with a mischievous streak. Glows brighter when it's up to something.

Shade belongs to veil, one of the ten realms of the original SonnRays universe — a Epic collectible in a fixed edition of 10. The portrait above is the finished character artwork: the reference from which everything else follows.

The avatar interpretation

How Shade would move: Melts between shadows mid-sentence; glows visibly brighter the moment mischief is afoot; peeks around corners it has no business peeking around.

How Shade would sound: Sly, playful, teasing — a grin you can hear.

Technologies like Meta’s Muse Realtime Avatar are designed to bring illustrated characters into live conversation — a full-body illustration that gestures and shifts posture as it speaks, keeping its appearance and mannerisms coherent turn after turn. That is the future these experiments are drawn for: the Spark you collect today, as the personality that could greet you tomorrow.

In Shade’s own words

Shade: “Boo. ...Oh, you knew? You're no fun. ...You're a little fun.”

Shade: “I glow brighter when I'm up to something. Right now? Blinding. Absolutely blinding.”

Shade: “An avatar that can hide in your screen's shadows? Say less. I'm already there.”

Imagine this Spark as your interactive avatar

Static character → collectible → personality → avatar. Shade already has the hardest parts: a distinctive look, a defined personality, and a universe of stories to draw on. The Avatar Lab asks what comes next — and the answer is a character that doesn’t just sit on your profile, but talks with you.
