The story so far

Arsinoitherium zitteli: the twin horns — two massive, hollow, side-by-side nasal horns on a rhino-like giant of Eocene Egypt. Twinhorn has the horns and the calling: in the Undertow he is the Half-Remembered's herald, announcing the Silences' visiting hours, the faction's ceremonies, the arrivals that matter. The horns are hollow — they resonate. When he sounds them, the whole faction stops. The sacrament is secrecy; Twinhorn's is the announcement — the things too important to whisper. 'The horns,' he says, 'are for the things that must be heard.'
