The story so far
Titanis walleri did what no terror bird had done: crossed into North America, 6.5 feet of pursuit predator striding through Texas and Florida two million years ago. Walleri has kept the stride: in the Undertow she is the Sundered South's scout — always just back from somewhere, always with news, always already leaving. The faction's cheerful anarchy suits her; she participates by arriving. 'The South,' she says, 'is the only place that ever kept up with me.' She's right. Nobody's kept up with her yet.
