She woke up one morning, looked at the ants, and decided to become one. Myrmarachne walks on six legs, waves her front two like antennae, and has fooled birds, wasps, and at least one very confused actual ant.
She is marching in an ant column right now, in perfect formation, heading somewhere she does not need to go. The ants suspect nothing. The performance is flawless. The commitment is total.
The disguise will fool her enemies for another season, and she will raise a brood of tiny actors to carry on the tradition. Somewhere, a bird will eat an actual ant and never know how close it came to the truth.
